The Washington Post’s Recognition & Ranking
For the fifth year in a row, Gabrielino has been recognized in The Washington Post’s America’s Most Challenging Schools for challenging average students to pursue rigorous coursework such as AP. Out of the 22,000 U.S. public high school considered, only 10% made this list (almost 2,300 schools).
- In other words, nationwide, Gabrielino ranked 785th of the nearly 2,300 in the top 10%.
- In California alone, Gabrielino is in the top 100, ranking 98th.
U.S. News & World Report’s Recognition & Ranking
This is the tenth year that U.S. News & World Report has recognized Gabrielino for getting students ready for college, and has been awarded their Silver Medal.
- Nationwide, Gabrielino ranked 985th of the 28,561 U.S. public high schools reviewed.
- In California, of the 2,399 public high schools reviewed, Gabrielino ranked 157th.
The American Scholastic Press Association Top-Scoring Newspapers for 2015-2016
Your TONGA TIMES has once again received First Place with Special Merit in the highly competitive American Scholastic Press Association Newspaper Contest. Even more impressive, the TONGVA TIMES was also named Most Outstanding Newspaper. This contest has entries from thousands of schools across the nation, and only 18 schools were honored as having a Most Outstanding Newspaper.
