We hope you had a nice Thanksgiving break. Can you believe that we are starting the last month of 2014?
Just a reminder that open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is going on from November 15, 2014 through February 15, 2015. Because the GHS PTSA is committed to ensuring that all our students and their families have access to quality health care, the GHS PTSA, in collaboration with CoverLA, is hosting an ACA Enrollment event this Saturday at Gabrielino High.
“Covered California & Medi-Cal Enrollment Event”
Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Certified enrollers will be available who speak English, Mandarin, Spanish and Vietnamese. Please see the flyer for more information.
Congratulations to the eight members of the GHS Mock Trial Team who recently participated in the inaugural Empire Mock Trial Tournament in San Francisco. Five counties were represented in this impressive international tournament. Two GHS students received top awards: Alexandra Singleton (Best Witness) and Perry Trinh (Best Attorney). Great job!

- Saturday, Dec. 6: GHS PTSA hosts “Covered California & Medi-Cal Enrollment Event” on campus, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Again, see flyer.
- Saturday, Dec. 6: Second Annual Gabrielino Eagle Marching Regiment Showcase, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, GHS Football Stadium. It’s free to all so please come and enjoy the incredible sounds of the GHS Marching Band as they perform their prize-winning competition show and other tunes!

- Wednesday, Dec. 10: GHS Band/Orchestra Winter Concert, 6:00 pm, Goodson Theatre.
- Monday, Dec.15: GHS Choir Winter Concert, 6:00 pm, Goodson Theatre.
- Wednesday, Dec. 17 to Friday, Dec. 19: First Semester Finals. The school schedule during finals is 8:00 am to 12:15 pm.
