*District Educational Advisory Committee (EAC) is looking for 3-5 students representatives. If you are interested in being on the ballot for the EAC election, please fill out the application in your student email. The timeline is:
1. Submission--complete form--due Tuesday the 22nd by 4:00 pm.
2. Voting on the 24th and 25th by the whole school. Only students who complete the application will be on the ballot.
Explanation of the EAC:
San Gabriel Unified School District would like to invite you to consider participating as a member of the 2019-2020 Educational Advisory Committee (EAC).
The State of California’s funding model is called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). LCFF requires that districts develop an annual Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), a strategic plan that links the school district budget with the State goals for student achievement.
The Educational Advisory Committee (EAC) will:
1. Analyze data, discuss and review the progress in meeting current goals, and consider the actions.
2. Propose and develop the new LCAP goals.
3. Make recommendations to the SGUSD Board of Education.

On Monday, November 4th, please join us at Chipotle for dinner during the hours of 4 - 8pm and Chipotle will donate 33% of the menu price of any food order to support SEF. If you have a busy schedule, you can still help out because take-out orders count too!!
There are many ways to support the event. You can show the cashier a digital or paper flyer (Click Here) prior to paying for your food. Flying flyer-free? Just mention the fundraiser to the cashier prior to paying and SEF will receive the credit...

We’ve updated the website with the details for the PTA annual Art Competition: http://www.gabrielinoptsa.org/reflections-2019-2020.html
The 2019-20 theme is “Look Within.” Students are invited to submit original work for recognition by the GHS PTSA in the categories of Dance Choreography, Literature, Photography, Film Production, Music Composition, and Visual Arts.
Representative entries will be moved on to District level for consideration for Outstanding Interpretation of theme, Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit. Outstanding Interpretation and Award of Excellence entries then go on to represent California in the final National PTA judging round.
Entry form and artwork submission due date is November 4.
