Thank you all for a wonderful beginning to the school year! Thanks to you we’ve already had a successful first month or so and good attendance at our first association meeting at Back to School Night. I would like to encourage you all, in addition to reading the weekly newsletter, to remember to visit our award winning website at http://www.gabrielinoptsa.org/. You will find informative links to, and information on, many of the topics that impact our kids as they navigate through high school. And please, please, tell your friends and family to consider joining the PTSA. They can join online or use one of the downloadable forms found on our website.

Did you know that the Girls Golf Team is undefeated? Yep! They’re 4-0 – WAY TO GO!
ELD/ELAC Parent Information Night is on Tuesday, 9/29 at 6 pm. English Language Development (ELD) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). This is an open group for parents/guardians/families whose students are identified as English Learners. Information will be given on high school graduation requirements, the CELDT (an annual test that measures English fluency), and post-high school opportunities.
Parent Seminar Workshop – College Information & Financial Aid Night is on Wednesday, 9/30, 6:45 – 8 pm. (Juniors and Seniors are invited!)
Gabrielino Speech & Debate Team’s Clothing and Shoe Fundraiser is on Saturday, 10/3 from 10 am – 2 pm in the Gab parking lot. See flyer for details.
Parent Seminar Workshop is NEXT Thursday at 7 pm in the Goodson Theater. This session focuses on interpreting the CAASPP Student results.
