It’s the last week of testing of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). All GHS 11th graders complete their testing today and tomorrow from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. For students not taking the CAASPP, you should arrive to school by 10:15 am with classes to begin at 10:30 am.

Don’t forget that this Wednesday is a Late Start Day with classes beginning at 9:40 am.
And this Saturday, May 2nd, the GHS Athletic Boosters are hosting a Dodge Test Drive fundraising event. The event takes place at the GHS main parking lot from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Anyone 18 and older with a valid Driver’s license can participate. Dodge will donate $20 per person to the Boosters for every person who test drives and completes a survey.
Finally, we want to congratulate the Rock N’ Roll Robots team, which includes GHS students Caterina Marchionne, Isabella De Marco, Isabella Lau and Ariel Tam, who completed last week in the FIRST World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. “FIRST” stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” and provides programs where middle and high schoolers all over the world build robots and compete for top awards.
